Growing industrialization and boost-up in economy has created enormous jobs in technical area. These jobs are at various level from senior to junior. Whereas senior positions are occupied by highly educated engineers, lower level positions are filled with ITI pass outs. ITI course of 2Yr duration could be done after 10th.
Industrial training institutes are filling this gap by providing training to students for last 40 years. ITI comes under directorate general of employment and training, Ministry of labour & employment. Most popular trades are turner, welder, refrigeration and air conditioning, computer hardware etc.
