Test Preparation For CEE



A Combined Entrance Examination has been conducted by the University of Delhi. The test is conducted to get admission into first semester of BE Courses in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. Delhi College of Engineering reserves 85% seats for Delhi region and remaining 15% for outside Delhi region. The admission shall be made available only on the merit basis of AIEEE that is All India Engineering Entrance Exam. All the candidates are required to appear for the test to get the admission.

Qualification Required

For Delhi Region Candidates
The candidates should have passed from any of the recognized College/School/Institute which is situated in the National Capital Territory of Delhi only. The candidates must have obtained at least 60 % marks in the aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. These candidates are eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided they have passed in each subject separately. The following criteria are for Delhi region candidates only.
  • The candidates should have passed Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School CertificateExam, New Delhi.
  • The candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from the University of Delhi with combination of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage to the supplementary subject or equivalent exam.
  • The candidates should have passed B.Sc. (Gen.) with Group “A” final exam of the University of Delhi or equivalent exam.
  • The candidates should have passed Senior School Certificate Exam (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
  • Secondary Education, by the University of Delhi.
  • The candidates appearing for the qualifying exam can also apply for Combined Entrance Exam.

    For Outside Delhi Region Candidates
    The candidates should have passed from any of the recognized College/School/Institute which is situated outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only. The candidates must have obtained at least 60 % marks in the aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. These candidates are eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided they have passed in each subject separately. The following criteria are for Delhi region candidates only.
  • The candidates should have passed Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School CertificateExam, New Delhi.
  • The candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from the University of Delhi with combination of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage to the supplementary subject or equivalent exam.
  • The candidates should have passed B.Sc. (Gen.) with Group “A” final exam of the University of Delhi or equivalent exam.
  • The candidates should have passed Senior School Certificate Exam (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
  • Any other exam which is recognized and equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education, by the University of Delhi.
  • In addition to this, a candidate should have passed English as a subject of study in 10th Class or 12th Class (elective or core).

    For Reserve Category Candidates
    The candidates who are in the different reserve categories shall be given a concession in the seat reservation. The minimum necessity for reservation is as mentioned below.

  • The minimum eligibility requirements for the children and/or widow of personnel of Par-Military/Armed forces disabled/killed in action during hostilities who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed relaxation of 5 percent marks.
  • The candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from the University of Delhi with combination of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage to the supplementary subject or equivalent exam.
  • For the candidates who belong to ST/SC category shall get 10 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
  • The candidates who are appearing for the CEE should not be less than 17 and more than 25 years of age on or before the first October of the year in which they seek admission. Hoverer, there is relaxation in minimum age and that is up to one year only. The candidates who fall in the above category need to get approval of the Vice-Chancellor for relaxation in minimum age. It must be noted that these candidates are required to apply for relaxation only at the time of admission.

    Application Procedure
    The candidates who are seeking admission to B.E. courses in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology must submit the application form by post or in person. The form will be made available at Faculty of Technology, Room no. HCFF-13, First Floor, Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Rd, Delhi – 110 042.The candidates can obtain the application form either by post or in person. The form will be obtained by submitting a Demand Draft for requisite amount of fee in favour of the Principal, DCE, Delhi – 110 042 payable at State Bank of India, Samepur, Delhi.The application form can also be obtained by post. The candidates who want application form by post they need to send a Demand Draft for requisite amount of fee along with a written request. The DD should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Delhi University, Delhi. The candidates are required to write their name and contact number on the reverse of the DD. The instruction must be read before filling the form because the form with incorrect and incomplete information will be rejected. The postal address and pin code should be complete and clear. The candidates are required to submit only the attested xerox copy of their mark sheet and the original documents to be shown at the time of admission. A self addressed envelope with a postage stamp of Rs. 142 must be enclosed and ‘Request for B.E. Form’ to be written on the top of the envelope and send it along with two self address slips to the Dean, Faculty of Technology Room number HCFF-13, First Floor, Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Rd, Delhi – 110 042.

    Important Dates
    Form Availability Date The forms are available in the month of March and April notification of which is given through the news paper. The last date of the form is in the mid of April. Exam date falls at the end of the month of May
